We had grand plans for Halloween 2010. Xavi was going to be a mad scientist. We planned out the costume, bought the necessary items, and really worked hard to not procrastinate this year. So we do our best to get the costume on him and try it on to make the necessary adjustments and sure enough...he hates it. The gloves, the coat, everything. Strangely the only thing he liked was part of the costume we bought to get the white lab coat which also had the whole scrubs outfit. He really liked the hat.

So, we found ourselves on Halloween morning not knowing how Xavi would take it, and preparing ourselves for the crying and the throwing off his costume. When all of a sudden it hit me! What does Xavi like, "regular clothes, hammers, and running around". I had it. The idea had been born. He would be Thor.

I just had to wait for him to get up. He was rather cranky when he woke up, but we ended up getting the pants, shirt, and boots on with little fanfare. He mainly looked like a hoodlum that was going to put salsa in the road.

Then we gave him the hammer, which he promptly took to hit the walls. We then had to battle to get him to wear the cape, but we were able to prevail and after some hair gel he was finally ready to go!

The moral of the story....don't buy a costume, just make up something with stuff around your house.

his costume should include whacked out hair...that mop is unstoppable with the right product in it!!!
maybe the cousins can all tag team it some day and go as a group??? like the A-team or the Fantastic 4 or the Beatles or something...that would be funny.
